Proactively use SSC processes and procedures to provide exceptional levels of customer service.
Ensure the global SSC processes are followed locally
Work closely with global planning team to ensure stocking policy is aligned to their defined region or territory needs.
Identify and resolve internal and external customer problems proactively in a timely manner.
Work with the various Logistics Service Providers to ensure their rates and services match business needs.
Work with regional 3PL partners (warehouses and transportation providers) to ensure compliance with business requirements and performance expectations.
Support the cycle counting process for all inventory held in their region or territory.
Ensure inventory accuracy in the stocking locations across their defined region or territory.
Work diligently and follow all procedures including documentation filing to ensure trade compliance.
Ensure adherence to budget by reviewing its cost base at the required cadence
Ensure the Smiths Code of Corporate Responsibility and Business Ethics is upheld in all activities.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge:
Diploma in a relevant field (or higher)
Ideally possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory & logistics management / purchasing such as APICS.
Computer literacy competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
Knowledge of SAP and WMS system.
Language skills in English required.
Local language skills required depending on nominated region / territory.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Supply Chain Specialist or in a similar role demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain processes.
Strong understanding of logistics inventory management and planning in functional and crossfunctional setting
Competencies and Abilities:
Must be decisive driven and conscientious and interact well in a team environment.
Possess excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and manage a wide range of activities.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations when working under pressure and strict deadlines.
Selfmotivated reliable and accountable individual.
The ability to make good judgments by thinking quickly and broadly.
Must be organized and systematic
Planning and Decision Making:
Able to prioritise tasks and take the initiative to meet customer expectation
Executing plans to deliver actions and longerterm objectives
Identifying and prioritising actions based on the customer and business needs
Ensuring all decisions are within the published Delegation of Authority
Impact and Scope:
Collaboration with 3PL warehouses and shipments across assigned country/territory
Coordination of escalations and priority parts orders across assigned country / territory
Key Internal and External Relationships:
Work closely with the Regional Service Team and be the first POC for escalations from the Regional Service Manager in assigned region/territory
Work closely with Regional Commercial Teams to better understand pipeline sales opportunities and proactively plan for an effective SSC support to the Aftermarket tail.
