Job Description
Visa has a great toolbox of leading technologies including CyberSource and Authorize.Net. Together we are building leading edge fullservice Payment Management solutions combining global payment processing fraud management and payment security systems.
We are looking for talented technical proactive energetic and passionate engineers who embrace challenges and are proven problem solvers. As a Sr. consultant Software Engineer you will be a part of eCheck team tasked with projects ranging from building full stack development of REST Service APIs Backend Batching applications and Web FrontEnd User Interfaces that are highly functional secure scalable and robust. You will participate in the full project lifecycle from start (gathering requirements) to finish (release into production) and will get excellent payment and checkout experience that will help you throughout your career.
You will be working with colleagues who will help support and challenge you every day. Unit testing code reviewing and regular checkins for continuous integration is just part of your DNA. We are an Agile Scrum development shop with 2week iterations. Teams consist of a Dev Manager QA Manager developers QA engineers scrum master and product owner with local Configuration Management and Database Engineering support.
Essential Functions:
- Work with Architecture to translate requirements and deliver solutions that meet the overall vision and technology roadmap for the team
- Take full ownership of projects and coordinating associated engineering activities ensuring timely delivery and quality
- Lead component design and technical discussions and drive innovation and increased developer efficiency
- Share knowledge with others and mentor junior team members to guide them in improving code quality
- Plays the PlayerCoach role for the team at project level.
- Understands how a project fits into the overall technology roadmap and communicate to the team to help establish buyin and ownership.
- Takes ownership and/or leads the engineering responsibility for multiple components in a project.
- Work with the architecture team on research & analyses of newer technologies for the next generation of Payment Services
- Come up with creative solutions to solve problems
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD OR 11 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
8yrs of handson experience and deep knowledge in software product development (Java/J2EE SOA based applications)3 years of experience in designing/architectural horizontally scalable multitenant SOA application
Proficient in implementing design patterns. Strong understanding of: Java J2EE RDBMS NoSQL DB such as Cassandra Mongo DB Spring Hibernate.
Experience in developing and deploying components as docker containers is must.
React / Redux experience is required.
Divides time between active coding related activities design coordination mentoring project management and/or leading same.
Experience in deployment and distribution lifecycle with automated and scalable CI/CD infrastructure.
Experience with thirdparty libraries and APIs.
Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and rootcause analysis
A gogetter who is not overwhelmed by new technology tight timelines or parallel projects
Thrives in a fastpaced environment producing and supporting business services with tier 0 severity and flexible to work with distributed global teams and willing to support clients globally
Excellent written and verbal communication skills interpersonal and presentation skills and proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkin Maven Stash is must.
