Retail Assistant Manager Limerick City
My client is a prominent and highly successful Convenience Forecourt retail group with stores across Connacht Leinster and Munster. After opening a new store in the Limerick area our client is looking to strengthen their team and hire an ambient focused Manager in one of their busy Limerick stores.
This is a progressive well known private retail group with a number of awards to their name. They are a highly ambitious retail group commercially focused operation and excellent at developing retailers who work under them up to run their own stores.
Roughly 25 staff working in this site with a focus on fresh foods service and grocery the ideal retail candidate will have worked in a convenience or supermarket retail environment.
For the role of Retail Assistant Manager our client will offeryearly salary including some benefits like Staff discount.
Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job:
- Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets
- Provide high level of customer service
- Ensure you and the team abide by all company policies and procedures
- Manage stock and cash control procedures investigate and report when variances occur
- Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising sales promotion and display plans.
- Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
- Maintaining store staff by recruiting selecting and training new staff in conjunction with the HR department.
- Organizing special promotions displays and events.
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.
Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job:
- 2 years of retail management experience ideally within an environment with fresh foods or grocery goods
- Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
- People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- The ability to work in highpressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Selfmotivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
- A strong work ethic.
