Job Summary | The Shift InCharge oversees all shift activities to ensure operational excellence adherence to safety and quality standards and the achievement of productivity goals. This role includes team management process optimization and reporting responsibilities. |
Key Responsibilities | |
1. Reporting | Prepare and submit reports including Daily MIS Regional MIS Shift End Reports Quality Reports Abnormality Reports and Accident Reports. |
Address customer questions primary damage reports and factory return CBU reports. |
2. Operations | Manage unloading operations staff job rotation and staff training. |
Handle operational issues such as key/document missing faded documents and clearance delays. |
3. Analysis | Conduct monthly review data analysis prepare review PPTs and damage analysis. |
Analyze vendorwise data wrong dispatch and not found cases. |
| Oversee staff management and accident analysis discuss KPIs during KYT sessions. |
Prepare and monitor quality reports. |
5. Productivity | Monitor receiving inspection driver productivity and TITO (Time InTime Out). |
Evaluate driver performance and manage appraisal sheets. |
Organize prize distributions for recognition. |
6. Improvements | Develop SOPs for all phases of operation. |
Conduct 5S audits and maintain visual management boards like Abnormality and TITO Boards. |
Implement suggestions and identify additional operational requirements in TVP (Transit Vehicle Parking). |
7. System Management | Use the Stockyard Management System to allocate modelwise blocks and handle monthend stock situations. |
Manage transit vehicle parking. |
8. Monitoring | Monitor safety practices POD punching invoice shortages and vendor vehicle issues. |
Conduct carrier inspections and address staff problems. |
9. Safety | Uphold safety protocols conduct accident analyses and foster a safetyfirst work culture. |
Skills Required | Must know how to drive 4W |
Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication abilities. |
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting. |
Qualifications | MBA / Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. |
Certification in safety quality or operations (preferred). |
Experience | 15 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a similar industry. |
Working Hours | Rotational shifts (day/night) with flexibility during emergencies. |
