JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician Internal Medicine (Nocturnist)

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Vandalia Health West Virginia

Service Setting: Inpatient

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: March 1 2025 Ongoing

Clinical Shift Schedule: 12hour night shifts 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

(716 shifts per month)

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults

Admissions: 1230 per day

Case Mix: General Internal Medicine for nocturnist care

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 189

EMR System: Cerner (experience required)

Support Staff Available: Other Nocturnist & APP

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General Internal Medicine nocturnist care

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active West Virginia license required

Board Certifications: BC in Internal Medicine

Certifications: BLS ACLS DEA

Experience: Proficiency with Cerner EMR system required

Other Qualifications: Family Medicine Board Certification with experience accepted

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide nocturnist care including admissions and inpatient management.

Manage adult patient demographics in a 12hour night shift setting.

Use Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient records.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and guidelines.
