Position Summary
The India Sterile Reprocessing Manager should be an exemplar of Intuitives mission and values. We expect this person and all our teammates to support the expansion of Intuitive solutions such as the da Vinci robotic surgery system and Ion Robotic Bronchoscopy system. To this end the India Sterile Reprocessing Manager assures the instructions for cleaning sterilizing and handling of Intuitive instruments and accessories are implemented across the India region by working closely with Field Service Engineers Clinical teams and services leadership. This person works closely with APAC Sterile Reprocessing Manager corporate device reprocessing design and validation teams on evolving market needs to ensure products and instructions are in alignment and sterile reprocessing support processes are maintained across the region. This person actively reports on progress of goals related to the regions sterile reprocessing support efforts to his/her direct manager and regional leaders. The India Sterile Reprocessing Manager will be a key member of the India Customer Experience and Services team. This role will also be a bridge between the country requirements and Global SOP to make sure the highestlevel adherence and clinical efficiency is maintained for all the I & A used in the Intuitive systems environment. This person is also expected to collaborate with the India Service Leadership and APAC SRS leadership and work closely on strategically framework for the future development of the function at the country level.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as the expert for all current reprocessing standards and best practices as they relate to Intuitive Surgical products within the region.
- Work with management to influence product design and development and validation of reprocessing of ISI products.
- Provide support for academic activities and KOLs to support efficacy compatibility and other best practices or insights into the sterile reprocessing of Intuitive product.
- Support onboarding and management of vendors of sterilization/cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Provide input to the resolution of sterility related nonconformances as a subject matter expert including review and explanation of the failure analysis and both indirect and direct support to customers to resolve issues.
- Advise and support regarding changes and improvements to customer facing and internal documentation or instructions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of regulations standards and guidance in reprocessing of reusable medical devices and regional variations.
- Remain current on all professional certifications and vendor credentials.
- Administer training when needed for relevant service members on all the knowledge/tools needed to successfully perform their job.
- Monitor trends of returned material (RMA) as related to Intuitive Instruments and Accessories and work with APAC SRS lead and other groups to ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Assure that all issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner by keeping in touch with country leads on a regular basis.
- Motivate and collaborate with country leads to promote high standards across teams
- Support escalation events and provide guidance or direct support when needed.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions at Intuitive locations training centers and hospitals.
- Assist in the development of teaching and training materials.
- Provide management with regular regional review and assessment.
- Complete all administrative tasks in the required time frame.
- Travel up to 70% including overseas travel in India as well as occasional travel to the United States Japan as per the business and training requirements.
- Ad hoc tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Skill/Job Requirements
- Biomedical training Life Science or technical equivalent required.
- Over 46 years experience related to sterilization and reprocessing ideally in a medical devices environment required.
- Experience and knowledge of OR protocol and central processing techniques and equipment PQ validations etc. required.
- Experience or working knowledge of the use and/or reprocessing of complex medical devices and excellent mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills required.
- Ability to lead through influence negotiates effectively and manage customer expectations
- required.
- Excellent communication presentation and reporting skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other departments required.
- Knowledge of business analytical systems (business objects tableau) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently required.
- Ability to exert influence across teams not directly reporting to oneself to achieve results required.
- Highly ethical highly energetic character with a desire to help customers required.
- English: verbal language business proficiency required.
- English: written language business proficiency required.
- Adaptable to weekly travel required.
Other Expectations
- No direct field service responsibilities.
