Software Engineer - Java

We are looking for a talented and driven Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer you will be part of the Backend CoE and the Guide and Locate area whose mission is to inspire our customers and guide them in finding the perfect product that delights them.

You will be a key member of a backend team working with some of the most robust systems powering critical features globally for H&M. You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds and cuttingedge technology to support the global scale at which H&M operates.

You will be at the center of innovation and will have the opportunity to contribute to H&Ms vision of becoming a market leader.

You will leverage your expertise in Java Microservices and the relevancy and ranking optimization of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain highperformance web applications using Java and the Spring (WebFlux) framework.
• Work with crossfunctional teams including Product Managers and Engineering Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and implement microservicesbased architectures and distributed systems.
• Leverage Azure Cloud services for deployment scaling and management of applications.
• Utilize search engines such as Solr or Elasticsearch for indexing tuning and scaling search solutions.
• Implement eventdriven architectures using tools like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for streamlined application management and scaling.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated deployments.
• Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to coding standards best practices and security protocols.
• Collaborate with teams to continuously improve software quality performance and scalability.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Java with experience in Spring (WebFlux) framework.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services including deployment and management tools.
• Preferred experience with search engines such as Solr or Elasticsearch including tuning and scaling.
• Knowledge of eventdriven architectures such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Strong problemsolving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications :

• 35 years of experience in web application development particularly in backend and microservices development.
• Experience with other cloud providers with Azure being a strong plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

This is a fulltime position in Bangalore Tech Location.
