Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $105983 $132483 (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Status: Permanent FullTime

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance the Senior Manager Finance Planning will be a primary finance business partner to UHNs management team and be accountable for driving the annual operating plan and forecasting processes analyzing performance trends and making recommendations for operating performance improvements. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and will be a key team member in the implementation of several strategic projects including but not limited to UHNs finance system transformation project.

Duties

  • Responsible for preparation of metricbased financial plan including annual budgets monthly forecasts and longterm strategic plans.
  • Coordinate operational activities related to monthend close
  • Develop actionable management reporting dashboards and KPIs as well as oversee monthly variance analysis and operating reviews to track overall business success.
  • Cross functionally collaborates with business partners including Finance and Operations to gain a thorough understanding of their lines of business to proactively refine and improve current reporting and analysis to provide strategic decision support.
  • Performs sensitivity scenario and whatif analysis as well as analyzes the financial impact of changes in business and new business opportunities.
  • Support ad hoc management & stakeholder requests for financial information.
  • Builds partnerships works collaboratively and effectively communicates financial matters to diverse groups both within and external to UHN.
  • Contributes to the broader Hospital mandate through participation in enterprise wide projects and committees.
  • Lead & Develop People Lead develop and empower a team of 3 Direct Reports.

Qualifications :

  • At least five years experience in FP&A. Preference for Health Care or adjacent sectors experience.
  • University degree and either a CPA designation or MBA.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong Excel PowerPoint and storytelling capabilities preparing executive level presentations.
  • A strong service orientation with a passion to advance the mission of the University health Network.
  • Proven experience establishing strong cooperative working relationships in a complex multitiered organization.
  • Experienced learner with sound and strategic planning forecasting problemsolving analytical financial modelling and technical skill; must have the ability to achieve operational excellence through others.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
  • Well organized detail oriented good motivator and strong project manager.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels of company management and personnel and works well crossfunctionally in a team environment.
  • Great collaborator and team player engaging others.
  • Recognized as ethical and independent demonstrating high standards of professionalism and respect for confidentiality.
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with the ability to identify trends establish benchmarks and provide credible analysis and business recommendations.
