You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailEpworth Geelong is seeking a full time passionate innovative and patient centred Nurse Unit Manager to join our Perioperative Services Scrub/Scout Team and to provide supportive leadership for a orthopaedics service. This key leadership role will suit a highly dynamic and flexible Nurse leader who is willing to continue to build on some outstanding service development and grow our supportive and engaging culture to achieve excellence in patient care.
You will make an impact by:
Delivering an exceptional patient experience within perioperative services
Engagement in multimodal education methods to provide evidencebased and quality learning for staff visiting practitioners and students
Encouragement and supervision of clinicians in their professional development to provide high standards of patient care
Encouraging and rolemodelling empathy to patients families and medical consultants
Active and collaborative involvement in the clinical care of patients within Perioperative Services environment
To be successful in the role you will:
Be appropriately registered with AHPRA (essential)
Have a high level of experience in perioperative nursing and orthopaedic scrub/scout nursing
Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the Orthopaedic speciality in relation to problem solving and clinical knowledge in joint replacement including robotics (MAKO VELYS CORI) shoulder foot and ankle and spine.
Hold postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Services
Be able to demonstrate current experience in clinical education in the perioperative environment
Have excellent written verbal & presentation skills
Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in nursing care
Be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong supportive and engagingstyle
Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
