Quality Control Technical Writer CoOp Overview

The Quality Control department is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficacy of our products as demonstrated through analytical and microbial testing prior to release of drug substance monoclonal antibodies to drug product final fill facilities. QC is a large and diverse department with responsibilities spanning a vast range of expertise such as testing data analysis equipment validation and maintenance product stability assessments test method validations test method improvements and technical writing. QC supports all projects that are manufactured at the facility as well as other products manufactured at other AbbVie sites with product stages ranging from first in human through commercialization all performed with the highest quality standards that follow and exceed cGMP regulatory requirements.
As a Coop your role will be focused on technical writing that spans several technologies such as HPLC ELISA and microbiology. Test method authoring will focus on human error reduction as well as operational excellence improvements to streamline testing and documentation practices. Microbial data analysis and trend report authoring will also be part of the role. At the end of the coop period a technical report/presentation will be performed
