The Clinical Director of Anaesthetics is an administrative role worked in conjunction with clinical duties (0.4 FTE non-clinical / 0.6 FTE clinical).

Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical anaesthetic services across a wide range of specialties, including elective and emergency procedures.
- Lead and manage the Anaesthesia Department, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
- Oversee departmental operations, including workforce planning, rostering, and resource management.
- Drive clinical governance initiatives, quality improvement projects, and policy development.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless perioperative care.
About You: You are a motivated and visionary leader with a passion for excellence in anaesthesia and perioperative care.
Essential Criteria: Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent recognized qualification.
Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
IMG trained specialist who has been assessed as substantially comparable or those who meet the expedited pathway please apply- Extensive experience in providing anaesthetic services across multiple specialties.
- Proven leadership and management experience within a clinical setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team.
