We are now looking for students in the final stages of their studies or recent graduates to become trainees at Deloittes Tax Services in Helsinki Tampere and Turku! Our goal is that as many Trainees as possible continue in permanent employment after the Trainee period.
Your fulltime Trainee period lasts approximately 46 months and will take place during the following periods in our different tax teams:
- Business taxation: October 2025 January 2026
- Personal taxation: September 2025 January 2026
- Value added tax: March 2025 October 2025
- Tax Technology: March 2025 October 2025
As a trainee you are an important part of the team you will immediately get involved in customer projects. You will get to know the world of tax consultants and work with domestic and international tax matters.
In the corporate taxation team Trainees tasks typically include preparing tax returns various reports related to corporate taxation and assisting domestic and international clients in tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions and transfer pricing.
In the personal taxation team you get to work in a wide range of areas such as personal taxation rewarding and social security. The duties typically include assisting international and domestic clients in tax and social security issues related to international mobility and rewarding as well as in related applications and reports. Please be aware that within the personal taxation team the only available locations are Tampere and Helsinki.
In the VAT team tasks include for example preparing VAT returns and expert comments for domestic and international clients. In the VAT team you will also have a chance to take part in customs and excise taxation related projects or projects that utilize technology.
Tax Technology Consulting team makes tax happen in practice. Depending on your interest and expertise you get to work e.g. in tax technology projects where we design build and implement tax tools and technologies to our clients with specific focus on SAP or in different development projects where we help our clients building optimized and futureproofed tax functions. Alternatively you may assist in coordinating and managing largescale global tax compliance outsourcing projects.

What do we want from you
If you are inspired by what you read and are an analytical eager to learn and a team player who is inspired by new challenges you could be the Tax Trainee we are looking for! In addition we hope you have:
- an applicable university degree or you are at the end of your studies (e.g. LL.M. M.Sc. (Econ.) or M.Sc. (Admin)
- fluent in spoken and written English
Previous work experience in taxation is considered an advantage but it is not necessary.

We want to enable our experts to work as flexibly as possible both in terms of time and place so we work in a hybrid model. As a trainee you are warmly welcome to work in our office but if you wish you can also work partly remotely.
