The Line Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for carrying out all line maintenance activities, as well as providing assistance, while oversighting third party activities.
Able to demonstrate in-depth airframe and engine systems maintenance knowledge.
Preparation of BSI & Compressor wash equipment at site.
Carry out borescope & Eng wash tasks in accordance with AMM.
Evaluate damage found in BSI in accordance with AMM.
Write reports detailing BSI findings and condition of engine.
Monitor and oversight engine-run post compressor wash.
Well up-keeping of BSI and Eng Wash equipment and reporting of equipment defects.
Releasing ACFT after tasks are accomplished.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and systems modifications on all Thales Systems.
Travel with BSI equipment to perform Borescope inspection tasks in outer stations.
Routine Inspections and Preventive Maintenance:
Pre-flight Inspections: Perform thorough checks of aircraft before they depart, focusing on systems such as engines, electrical, hydraulics, avionics, and control surfaces.
Post-flight Inspections: Inspect the aircraft after landing to detect any wear, damages, or faults that may have occurred during the flight.
Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks as part of ongoing airframe and engine upkeep, ensuring that aircraft meet regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.
2. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Identifying Faults: Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues that could affect the aircraft’s performance.
Troubleshooting: Investigate systems to pinpoint the exact cause of any faults. This may include checking engine performance, avionics systems, hydraulics, and air conditioning units.
On-the-Spot Repairs: Perform quick and effective repairs on the aircraft during turnarounds to ensure the aircraft can return to service with minimal delay.
At least 3 years’ experience certifying maintenance on the A320 aircraft.
At least 5 years’ experience in a Line/Base aircraft Maintenance environment.
Valid GACA A & P/FAA Aircraft Repair and Maintenance:
Mechanical Repairs: Conduct repairs on mechanical systems, such as landing gear, engines, and flight controls, as needed.
Avionics Maintenance: Perform routine checks and repairs on avionics systems, including radar, navigation systems, and communication devices.
Engine Inspections and Maintenance: Inspect engines for wear and tear, making necessary repairs to keep them running smoothly.
Hydraulic Systems: Maintain and repair aircraft hydraulic systems, which control various functions such as landing gear, flight control surfaces, and brakes.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintenance Records: Keep accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repairs carried out on the aircraft. This includes recording inspections, repairs, part replacements, and any incidents.
Adherence to Regulatory Standards: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and maintenance procedures established by aviation authorities such as the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) or EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency).
Part and Equipment Management: Ensure the proper use and storage of tools, equipment, and spare parts, keeping an inventory and ensuring all materials are up to industry standards.or equivalent Aircraft Maintenance License.
A320 (CFM56/LEAP 1A) family type rating.
Engine run (RTS).
CFM 56B Borescope Inspection Approval.
