Job Description
The Physician Assistant provides high quality medical care to the patients of St. Joseph Medical Center as a member of the Orthopedic Surgery Team.
cares for individuals with general orthopedic problems
Will work multiple orthopedic surgeons initially ultimately will work with our new hand surgeon
Position will be a mix of office and OR
Flexibility to see patients in Bel Air and Towson offices
Additional responsibilities include night and weekend call
Qualifications :
Education
- 4 year / Bachelors Degree: Physician Assistant (Required)
- Or MSN or DNP for Nurse Practitioner
- Masters Degree (Preferred)
Certification / Licensure / Registration
- BLS Certification (Required)
- HCCPA Recertification exam every six years (Required)
- Physician Assistant (Required) or Nurse Practitioner
- Nurse practitioners require RNFA certification
- Registration from Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance (Required)
Experience and Skills
- 0 1 year Physician Assistant (Required)
- 2 4 years Physician Assistant (Preferred)
Required Skills: Strong critical care patient management experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
