In this diverse role of high impact within our matrix organization we are hiring an energized inclusive and forwardthinking Plant Manager to join our team in our Materials Group Color Matching Service business (graphics.averydennison.com) in Alphen a/d Rijn Netherlands with a direct reporting line to our High Value Businesses Operations Director.
Your Mission:
- On a daily basis you will take on the responsibility of overseeing our 70 peopleplant performance in order to meet business objectives as well as our customers expectations and to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all our operational processes including our Industry 4.0/Manufacturing for Future initiatives.
- You will be accountable for all aspects of our plant activities managing your plant leadership team (5 direct reports) and you will ensure that objectives are attained in a costeffective sustainable manner that is compliant to our high safety environmental quality and productivity requirements.
- As a continuous journey you will be capable of quickly identifying critical opportunities and situations and of possessing welltested strategies for driving a decision to a close by leading a kaizen/lean culture.
- Being a role model you are to drive a diverse and inclusive yet inspirational innovative and engaging company culture with your team to consistently perform above expectations in an exciting agile and multifaceted business environment.
Qualifications :
What we expect from you! Your Expertise:
- Previous work experience of 8 years from a plant operations managerial position ideally in more than one function (manufacturing logistics supply chain) within a process manufacturing environment
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills combined with passion for safety / Industry 4.0 / continuous improvement / sustainability / diversity equity and inclusion and strong communication skills and ability in being an inspirational coach and empowering your team
- Skilled in leading multisite multifunctional or business project initiatives while having a Lean Manufacturing background (preferably Green Belt / Black Belt)
- Fluency in English Dutch proficiency or willingness to learn a plus
- Creativity excitement and innovation entrepreneurial spirit for growing a sustainable business to set your career at Avery Dennison
