Job Description
CEDA is looking to hire 1 Operator for our mechanical team at AOC Leismer in Conklin. This is a Labour role will include operating equipment as needed (Zoom Boom Skidsteer etc.)

- Shift: 14x14 with 12 hour days (compressed work schedule)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to the Tradespeople
- Assist with basic maintenance and repairs
- Maintaining safe work practices
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
- Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there
- Challenge your eye for detail practice what we preach. Take your time get the job done right the first time and safely every time
Role Specifications:
- 2 years of industrial experience working with pipefitters and welders is an asset
- Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
- Experience operating a Skidsteer Telehandler / or Zoom Boom and Loader is an asset
- The following tickets are required: H2S Alive standard first aid and CSO or CSTS2020
- These certificates would be considered and asset: Confined Space Entry & Monitor Fall Protection & Mobile Elevated Work Platform or Aerial Work Platform
- Able to provide a negative result on a preemployment drug and alcohol test booked by CEDA
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Prior experience working at heights with the use of special fall restraint equipment
- Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
- Experience and comfort with confined spaces such as a small vessel/tank or trench
- Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
