Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate DES InWork Support Coach to join our team in Chester Hill and surrounding suburbs Australia. As part of our Disability Employment Services program you will play a crucial role in supporting job seekers with disabilities in the Canterbury Bankstown area helping them achieve their employment goals and maintain longterm success in the workplace.

  • Provide personalized coaching and support to job seekers with disabilities assisting them in overcoming barriers to employment
  • Develop and implement tailored employment plans for each client considering their unique skills abilities and career aspirations
  • Conduct regular checkins with employed clients to ensure job retention and address any workplace challenges
  • Collaborate with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and promote inclusive hiring practices
  • Assist clients with job search activities including resume writing interview preparation and job application processes
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate client records progress reports and program documentation
  • Liaise with community organizations healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Stay informed about local job market trends and employment opportunities in the Canterbury Bankstown area
  • Advocate for clients rights and needs in the workplace promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment

Qualifications :

 

  • Previous experience in employment services or related field with a focus on supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
  • Excellent case management experience and organizational abilities
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese language is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with case management software
  • Demonstrated experience in job search techniques and resources
  • Understanding of the local job market and employment trends in the Canterbury Bankstown area
  • Knowledge of disability support services and resources available in the community
  • Empathetic and patient approach with a genuine commitment to helping others succeed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
  • Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required for travel within the service area
