Facilities Technician - Eurofins Environment Testing North Central

The Facilities Technician performs a variety of maintenance duties in support of laboratory and facility operations. Assists in other departments as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs standard preventative maintenance procedures
• Monitors the need for service or repair of laboratory HVAC refrigeration and ventilation equipment
• Troubleshoots and repairs various laboratory equipment
• Provides materials list to supervisor to maintain a stock of repair parts inhouse
• Stocks all copy machines with paper on a weekly basis
• Completes weekly walkthru of building for fluorescent bulb replacement
• Serves as emergency call backup if Facilities Manager is not onsite
• Assists in the collection of Non Hazardous and Hazardous lab waste from the facility for proper disposal
• Assist in the Shipping/Receiving of supplies including storage of supplies in a welldefined and organized manner
• Follows proper safety practices as required in the Corporate Safety Manual and assists in the inspections of facility safety equipment
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management team

Qualifications :

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Basic maintenance experience in:

• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Refrigeration
• Electrical

Ability and/or Skills:

• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical maintenance. Working
• knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair.
• Communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement including the ability to read write and speak in English.

Additional Information :

Fulltime position Monday Friday 1st shift hours with overtime as needed. 

Compensation range: $1821/hr

 Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes the actual base salary may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience and skill set base salary of internal peers business sector and geographic location.
