Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification (e.g. Quantity Surveying or Science). They must have at least 7 years of working experience in the Oil and Gas industry specifically in Project Cost Control Cost Estimation or Project Control roles.
- Proficient in Total Cost Management concepts and terminology.
- Strong adherence to the companys Project and Cost Control governance standards.
- Skilled in implementing the companys Cost Control methodologies processes tools and systems including best practices for all Cost Control functions such as:
- Planning and budgeting
- Tracking actual costs and Value of Work Done (VOWD)
- Forecasting
- Cost and variance analysis
- Reporting and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong networking and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized with a strong aptitude for data management.
Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive cost control activities for projects or departments including cost planning budgeting control forecasting reporting documentation and cost closeout.
- Act as the primary focal point and resource for all cost control matters within the project or department ensuring effective management and communication.
- Provide expert cost control advice to the internal Project Management Team (PMT) as needed.
- Participate actively in project meetings and discussions contributing to decisionmaking processes.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the effective execution of project control by supporting improvement initiatives and facilitating training sessions.
