Roles and responsibilities
The Senior UI/UX Engineer is responsible for creating intuitive and visually compelling designs for mobile app and website, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centred designs that enhance the overall user experience, and performing a key role in wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing while ensuring technical feasibility and performance optimization across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user journeys, and technical constraints for both mobile apps and websites.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and test design concepts.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and effective implementation.
- Conduct user research, gather feedback, and analyze user data to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
- Plan and conduct usability tests to validate design concepts and refine them based on feedback.
- Create and maintain a cohesive design system for the mobile app and website, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure designs are feasible within technical constraints and can be implemented efficiently.
- Participate in agile ceremonies like sprints, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to iterate on designs quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure designs are optimized for performance, usability, and accessibility across different devices and platforms.
- Conduct user research, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights.
Desired candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, in mobile app and website environments. Experience in designing digital products for e-commerce or the travel industry is a plus.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work across both mobile and web platforms.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
- Up-to-date Knowledge of the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Familiarity with mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, or .NET MAUI).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar platforms.
- Strong skills in wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design.
- Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and the technical aspects of mobile and web app development.
