Job Description

Position: Director of Cardiovascular Services

Location: Sanford NC

Salary Range: $115000.00 $130000.00 annually

Signing Bonus: Yes up to $10000 for qualified candidates

Relocation Package: Partial

Position Overview

HireNow Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Director of Cardiovascular Services to oversee the operational and clinical aspects of the Cardiovascular Service Line at a leading healthcare facility in Sanford NC. This leadership role involves managing the Cardiovascular Services team including the Cath Lab Endoscopy Vascular and Cardiac Rehabilitation departments. The Director will be responsible for ensuring highquality care efficient patient throughput budget management and continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Supervision:

    • Direct and supervise all operational functions of the Cardiovascular Service Line including the Cath Lab Endoscopy Vascular and Cardiac Rehabilitation departments.
    • Ensure policies and procedures are followed staffing levels are adequate and patient care is efficient.
  • Operational & Fiscal Management:

    • Manage the department budget ensuring effective use of resources and adherence to allocated funding.
    • Oversee supply and equipment levels troubleshooting any issues to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Quality Improvement & Compliance:

    • Lead and engage in ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance across all areas of cardiovascular services.
  • Staff Development & Education:

    • Invest in the professional development of staff ensuring continuous education and competency completion.
    • Support lifelong learning and training programs for staff in the Cardiovascular Service Line.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Regularly communicate with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and other administrative team members regarding the status of cardiovascular services.
    • Act as a liaison between physicians staff and other healthcare teams to optimize patient care and department operations.

Qualifications

MustHaves:

  • Education: Bachelors degree (required)
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina or compact state (required)
  • Experience:
    • 35 years of supervisory experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
    • 5 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing education or training
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
