Technical Services Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

The Junior Technical Services Engineer supports the technical services department by ensuring compliance with regulatory airworthiness directives, analyzing manufacturer documentation, and maintaining the integrity of engineering processes. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet regulatory and organizational standards while contributing to the cost-effective and efficient operation of the airline’s engineering functions.

Responsibilities:

• Review Airworthiness Directives (ADs) to ensure compliance with applicable FAA, EASA, and GACA regulations.
• Review and participate in evaluating OEM documentation (SBs, VSBs, OITs, SILs, etc.) to ensure compliance as required.
• Maintain awareness of FAA, EASA, and GACA regulations and required compliance of ADs, SBs, and the approved maintenance program.
• Analyze the cost-effectiveness of modifications recommended by aircraft and components manufacturers and prepare necessary engineering documents accordingly.
• Ensure compatibility and accuracy of manufacturer and vendor technical documents with flyadeal’s fleet and request updates and corrections whenever necessary.
• Build a good rapport with external partners to ensure flyadeal’s requirements are adequately considered and actioned in a timely manner.
• Interact with the flyadeal finance department to track and manage costs associated with the engineering department.
• Prepare and report cost engineering information on a monthly basis and provide additional ad-hoc reports as required by the Head of Engineering.
• Deliver process engineering services that meet flyadeal standards and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
• Strive for cost-effectiveness in every aspect of the job, identifying areas for automation, development of best practices, and adopting an analytical approach.
• Prepare fleet utilization reports to be shared with flyadeal Finance and aircraft owners.

Desired candidate profile

BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering (MBA is a plus).
0–2 years of experience in airline engineering.
Familiarity with AMOS customer processes, products, and services.
Excellent knowledge of aircraft technical documentation.
Legal and regulatory airworthiness awareness.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
