We are seeking a talented and experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our desktop systems.
As a Desktop Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to endusers in our organization. You will play a key role in managing and maintaining our desktop systems resolving technical issues and optimizing the performance of our desktop environment. You will work closely with IT teams stakeholders and endusers to deliver timely and effective support solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to endusers for desktop hardware software and peripherals.
Install configure and maintain desktop operating systems and software applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktop systems.
Set up and deploy new desktop systems for employees.
Perform regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in the implementation of desktop security measures and policies.
Collaborate with IT teams to escalate complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
Document and maintain accurate records of support tickets resolutions and changes made to desktop systems.
Conduct training and workshops for endusers on desktop applications and best practices.
Stay uptodate on the latest technology trends and best practices in desktop support.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
Solid understanding of desktop hardware software and operating systems (e.g. Windows macOS).
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members effectively.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.
