Eligibility:
- U.S. citizens Green Card holders Green CardEAD or L2EAD only.
- Onsite role in Washington DC. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Years of Experience Required:
10 years with at least 8 years of experience in VMware and 6 years in Azure Cloud.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a VMware Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This handson role involves designing deploying and managing Azure cloud solutions migrating VMware workloads to Azure and ensuring compliance with architectural standards.
Qualifications:
- Mandatory:
- Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology Computer Science or equivalent (15 years of work experience in lieu of education).
- Microsoft Azure Certification in specialized areas.
- Expertise in VMware (8 years).
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud services (6 years).
- Proficiency in Windows Server Administration Active Directory DNS and SQL.
- Strong understanding of networking routing and cloud security.
- Experience in RESTful API XML and JSON.
- Preferred:
- ITIL V4 Certification.
- Agile SaFe/Scrum Master Certification.
Technical Skills:
- Azure IaaS SaaS and PaaS services.
- Azure AD Azure Storage (Blob Files Disks) App Services BCDR vNets Subnets and Express Route.
- Active Directory Azure Backup and Recovery Vaults.
- Windows and Linux system design and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect design deploy and manage Azure services and VMware migrations.
- Maintain overarching product/platform architectures and ensure compliance with standards.
- Develop cloud strategies and manage cost adaptation processes.
- Create tagging strategies for Azure Gov services for cost management and compliance.
- Liaise with thirdparty suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Document processes and provide innovative solutions in a fastpaced team environment.
