Responsibilities
- Plan and perform bench and machine operations for constructing adjusting and repairing tools jigs fixtures and gauges
- Set up and operate machinery including lathes milling machines shapers and grinders
- Fit and assemble jigs fixtures tools and dies ensuring product specifications are met
- Visualize finished jobs and perform necessary calculations for adjustments
- Interpret blueprints and verbal instructions to complete tasks
- Perform precise machine operations while maintaining close tolerances
- Detect and correct faulty operations or defective materials
- Assist in training Tool Room Apprentices
- Collaborate with tool designers for input on newly formed parts

- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent four years of Tool & Die experience in the Metal Industry
