We are looking for a skilled Technician to join our Engineering team and ensure our facilities run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on various hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Address guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Perform regular inspections of the property to ensure safety and operational standards.
Document all maintenance activities and track inventory of supplies.
Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Assist with special projects and renovations as needed.
1. General Maintenance and Repairs
Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair issues in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as any other equipment or infrastructure that requires attention.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled, such as checking equipment for wear and tear, lubricating moving parts, cleaning filters, and replacing parts to avoid breakdowns.
Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency repair requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and preventing downtime.
2. Electrical System Maintenance
Wiring and Circuit Repair: Repair, replace, and install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers as needed.
Lighting Systems: Maintain and replace lighting fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts to ensure proper lighting in the facility.
Troubleshooting: Identify electrical faults in equipment or building systems and repair them to ensure the safety and proper operation of electrical systems.
3. Plumbing and Water Systems
Plumbing Maintenance: Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, repairing toilets, sinks, faucets, and replacing worn-out pipes.
Water Treatment Systems: Monitor and maintain water treatment systems (if applicable), ensuring that all water systems are operating efficiently.
Sanitation Systems: Address issues with drainage and sewage systems, ensuring that all sanitation systems are functioning properly and complying with health and safety regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge and expertise in a variety of technical areas, such as electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose issues and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime and repair costs.
Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks across different systems and equipment simultaneously, ensuring that all maintenance and repairs are addressed in a timely manner.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring that repairs and maintenance tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly, paying attention to every aspect of the system or equipment.
Time Management: Effectively managing time to prioritize urgent tasks and routine maintenance while meeting deadlines.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work on your feet for long hours, perform manual labor, and handle heavy equipment or materials as necessary.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments about maintenance issues and progress.
