Associate Consultant Geology

Your new role

As our new Associate Consultant you will be part of our interdisciplinary Chicago Illinois team. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching mentoring and onthejob tasks.

• Planning and Conducting Site Investigations including drilling oversight and logging monitoring well installation soil and groundwater sampling as well as subsurface and indoor air monitoring.
• Providing oversight and direction of field activities and communicate with senior staff;
• Assisting with preparing reports and deliverables for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies;
• Assisting with project schedules and budgets; and
• Working in diverse and multiuser team environments

Qualifications :

About you

• Minimum requirement is Bachelors Degree in Geology/Geosciences Environmental Science Environmental Engineering or a related degree.  Masters Degree in related fields a plus.
• Candidates must be willing to travel up to 3550% average over the year and possess a valid drivers license. Travel may include overnight stays and may be out of state. Travel duration may range from 110 days depending upon the specific requirements of each project.
• Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible force constantly to move objects. Must be able to climb balance stoop kneel crouch crawl reach stand sit push/pull lift and grasp. Employee may be subjected to frequent repetitive motions weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold loud noises and hazards (i.e.: proximity to moving mechanical parts moving vehicles). Worker may be required to wear personal protective equipment up to and including a respirator and protective clothing due to potential exposure to chemicals fumes odors dusts gases or poor ventilation.
