Job Description

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager the Clinical Team Lead will be a dynamic leader who excels in engaging people promoting quality and building successful teams. This leader will oversee teams providing  outpatient mental health services. This encompasses delivery of group and individual psychotherapy to moderately ill patients. The Clinical Team Lead will support clinical care by delivering group therapy and a small individual caseload when the need arises. 

Accountabilities:

  • Working directly with interdisciplinary staff internally and externally to ensure that patient needs are met
  • Participating within an interdisciplinary team in program planning development and implementation
  • Overseeing day to day operations patient flow staff supervision and use of evidence based practice
  • Ensuring excellence in patient experience
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels and general clinical supervision of staff

Qualifications :

  • Masters degree in a related health field required (e.g. social work nursing occupational therapy counselling/psychology) with a combination of relevant experience in mental health and addictions (Bachelors level with commensurate experience will be considered)
  • Current registration with relevant regulatory body and membership in applicable professional association
  • Minimum three to five years recent group and individual psychotherapy experience (within the last eight years) working in acute mental health with adult population.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principals of quality improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of evidence based practice best practice guidelines and quality standards in mental health and concurrent disorders
  • Sound analytical skills including: conceptualizing developing and executing a wide variety of projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams
  • Superior interpersonal and leadership skills including critical thinking communication responsiveness conflict resolution change management visionary thinking organizational skills decision making and problemsolving
  • Excellent attendance punctuality and work record
  • Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel
  • Will be required to travel and/or work between Osler sites
