General Dynamics Mission SystemsCanada is looking for an experienced System Integration V&V Engineering Analyst to join our Sonar Products team. Our sonar systems expand the defensive perimeter of the ship and enhance the ability to detect underwater threats. Our team follows a Scrum framework for software development with each Scrum Team working together to design implement integrate and test software and system features for the product.
The responsibilities and range of activities will vary depending on experience but in general will include:
- Review requirement specifications interface control documents design documents and use cases in order to develop test cases for integration and verification
- Prepare and review integration and verification test procedures and reports
- Perform system integration and verification in labs as required
- Prepare test cases in a lab environment/in vehicles
- Execute test cases in a lab environment and where applicable within the vehicles; analyze interpret and document results
- Perform analysis and interpretation of integration and verification test results
- Prepare analyze and track defect reports
- Participate in System Technical Review Board as required
- Generate and maintain test scripts for automated testing
- Map test cases as required
- Participate in reviews inspections and audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Expand knowledge of latest technologies products and market trends relevant to area of work
- Report progress and status
- Share knowledge and present ideas to colleagues
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of requirements process
- Knowledge of agile and/or iterative development methods
- Communication skills (verbal and in writing)
- Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and ability to conduct analysis leading to good conclusions
- Enthusiastic contributor willing to learn new skills and takes pride and ownership of work
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Knowledge in automated test frameworks and implement automated tests
- Knowledge of Agile and/or iterative development methods may be required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science; or a related technical/engineering degree
