IT Security Analyst Intern

Primary Function of Position

The intern position will assist the IT Security team in ensuring the confidentiality integrity and availability of Intuitives information systems and data. This role will provide an opportunity to gain direct experience across various cybersecurity domains such as security awareness vulnerability assessment configuration hardening threat monitoring incident response security operations and related areas. Specific responsibilities will be explained by the hiring manager.

Essential Job Duties

• Partner with crossfunctional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Help the implementation and maintenance of security controls and related technologies.
• Monitor and examine security events and alerts to identify potential cyber threats.
• Assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity documentation materials.

Qualifications :

Required Skills and Experience

• Technical knowledge of computer networks and/or operating systems.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
• Exceptional deductive and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and synergy abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential and classified information with integrity.

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

• University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degreeseeking academic program after the internship.
• Internship Work Period: Must be available to work fulltime (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 1012 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.

Required Education and Training

• Current enrollment in a cybersecurity computer science information systems or a related degreeseeking program at the Bachelors level.
• Masters level students would also be considered based on specific relevant experience.

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including relevant skills and experience for this internship degreeseeking academic program (PhD Masters Bachelors etc) year in school and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
