Job Description
Primary Function of Position
The Clinical and Innovation Research internship provides future medical device professionals with an immersive experience in medical robotics and emerging technologies. Essential Job Duties
- The primary functions of the intern will include clinical exploration and research with emerging robotic platforms and technologies.
- The program will include clinical observation in depth research handson laboratory experience and physician interaction to understand unmet needs and roboticassisted solutions
- Experience will culminate in benchtop and laboratory exploration to assess feasibility and proofofconcept for robotic assisted procedures and technologies
- Perform clinical research and problemsolving activities related to emerging robotic technologies
- Draft deliverables (reports memos etc) to communicate your findings
- Communicate and collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to provide updates and provide task deliverables
- Work on substantive projects that have the potential to impact the future business of the company
- Present project deliverables and lessons learned to the organization
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to develop a clinical/scientific hypothesis
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data
- Ability to synthesize information and communicate results
- Ability to communicate effectively (written oral) with the team
University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:
- University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degreeseeking academic program after the internship.
- Internship Work Period: Must be available to work fulltime (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 1012 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
Required Education and Training
- Current enrollment in a Biomedical Engineering Bioengineering or similar degreeseeking program at the Doctorate level. Masters level students will also be considered based on specific relevant experience.
- Medical Residents with engineering backgrounds will be considered
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Startup or Biodesign fellowship/exposure is a plus

We provide marketcompetitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay (paid at an hourly rate) benefits and a housing allowance. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including relevant skills and experience for this internship degreeseeking academic program (PhD Masters Bachelors etc) year in school and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
