Job Description

Do you want to turn dreams into reality working with awardwinning sustainable architecture and masterplans Henning Larsen is looking for an Associate Architect/Associate Director to join our global design community. You will be part of an interdisciplinary studio with architecture urbanism and landscape working on sustainable projects worldwide.

To continue this journey we are looking for an experienced design professional with local and international experience in delivering high quality projects passionate and knowledgeable about sustainability. You will be embarking on a road of transformation within a global organization.

What are we offering

Joining our Singapore office you be part of an organization with a creative culture and history of delivering awardwinning architecture. You will work directly with the global and regional directors.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the architecture and urbanism department in Singapore and work across the global spearhead organization.
  • Develop direction for the firms marketing and business development processes with focus on growing the local and Asia markets.
  • Cultivate client relationships and develop key accounts
  • Work with the global design community and regional design directors for the management of the quality of architectural design work
  • Develop and grow the team in Singapore
  • Oversee and give direction for the management of resources and financial control over project design budgets
  • Provide direction for the firms strategic planning (local and global)
  • Provide direction for the firms productivity and innovation road map
  • Lead design direction for key projects
  • Produce concepts and schematic designs in accordance to clients requirements and aspirations for key projects
  • Oversee the development of detailed design and production of detailed drawings and specifications for tender and for contractors to follow for construction purposes
  • Oversee the construction and implementation of projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered profitably

What are we looking for

As our new Associate Architect/Associate Director you will be part of our Singapore team of more than 50 professionals working on projects both locally and internationally. For this role we believe your starting point is:

  • Master Degree in Architecture
  • 8 10 years of working experience in internationally renowned offices
  • Commitment and inspiring leadership qualities with strong general and project management skills
  • Commitment to practice sustainability in all projects
  • Ability to put strategies into actions with strong business mindset
  • Knowledge and experience in the Asian market
  • Ability to manage complex architectural projects and architectural design team of up to 20 members
  • Outstanding portfolio of work with good design capability and creativeness
  • A flair for design and good knowledge of global projects
  • Conversant with construction practices
