Java Engineer with AI expertise

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain scalable microservicesbased systems.
• Implement AI/ML models and integrate them into production systems.
• Optimize AI systems using RetrievalAugmented Generation (RAG) embeddings and multimodal architectures.
• Develop and test AI workflows ensuring robustness performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot AI pipelines and resolve issues to maintain system performance.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design AIpowered solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Apply AI ethics principles including fairness transparency and bias mitigation strategies.
• Conduct prompt engineering to design test and refine prompts for AI systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• AI/ML Development Experience: Handson experience building AI/ML solutions with frameworks such as TensorFlow PyTorch and similar technologies.
• Programming Proficiency: Strong expertise in Java and Python with a focus on AIdriven applications.
• AI/ML Expertise: Solid understanding of AI algorithms and architectures particularly in multimodal and retrievalaugmented generation (RAG) models.
• Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with scalable and modular microservices development practices.
• AI Tools Proficiency: Experience with tools like LangChain LangGraph and LlamaIndex for AI system development.
• Model Optimization Techniques: Expertise in embeddings transfer learning and finetuning models for enhanced performance.
• AI Ethics Knowledge: Awareness of fairness transparency and bias mitigation strategies in AI development.
• ProblemSolving Skills: Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities in AI pipelines and models.
• Prompt Engineering Skills: Experience designing testing and refining prompts for AI performance optimization.

Rate: They are currently in the MVP phase so their budget is tight.

We anticipate a potential rate increase as the product develops further and focus on candidates with relatively low rates.

Duration: long term (multi year)

Location: Any with the ability to overlap with Central Standard Time

Requirements:

Handson experience in AI/ML development.

Familiar with microservices and software development practices

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java Python TensorFlow PyTorch or other relevant frameworks.

Strong knowledge of AI/ML algorithms and architectures particularly in multimodal and retrievalaugmented generation models.

Experience with AI deployment and integration into production systems.

Familiarity with AI ethics including fairness transparency and bias mitigation strategies.

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues in AI models and pipelines.

Strong experience in developing and optimizing AI systems specifically using RetrievalAugmented Generation (RAG) embeddings and multimodal architectures.

Experience with multimodal AI models (e.g. text image) and proficiency in tools like LangChain LangGraph and LlamaIndex.
