Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Revenue Director responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service.
- Follow Reservation policies procedures and service standards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all room reservations rate offers and hotel information inquiries via telephone fax and/or Email.
- Reserve hotel accommodations for guests in the Leisure Business Travel Convention/Association Corporate Meetings and Wholesale market segments.
- Accurately record all required reservation information in the Central Reservations System and/or the Opera Property Management System (PMS).
- Review and update reservations interfacing between the Accor Reservation Systems.
- Ensure reservation confirmations are issued promptly and accurately.
- Monitor Hotel Inventory to maximize Room Revenues.
- Drive the hotels upsell program by consistently offering the best suitable room types according to guest needs maximizing hotel revenue and earning incentives by the companys standards
- Provide support to our colleagues at Fairmont Global Reservations Centre with guest booking needs.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and safeguard guest privacy with the utmost confidentiality
- Understand special promotions and ensure the information is communicated to various operational departments.
- Ensure all cashier paperwork and journals are filed with the Manager on duty daily.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when at work
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum 1year Reservations Front Office or Sales experience required.
- Must possess professional telephone etiquette and an excellent command of English.
- Must be flexible with shift start/end times and available to work weekdays and weekends depending on operational needs.
- Typing skills approximately 40 words per minute.
- Property Manager (Opera) and Microsoft Office applications experience an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of hotel facilities and surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problemsolving abilities.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times.
