Job Description

Providing an excellent service for internal colleagues and MSC GVA colleagues in every written and verbal communication. The Terminal Operations Representative is responsible for ensuring effective delivery of terminal operations objectives across our Canadian ports maintaining great relationship with terminal contacts and providing highly accurate reporting and scheduling to various stakeholders both inside and outside the Agency. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as liaison between the MSC Agency and terminals.
  • Creating and maintaining the regular vessel sailing schedule ERD & Cutoffs on terminal.
  • Communicating and applying vessel changes and omission.
  • Creating and maintaining the terminal operations reporting.
  • Verifying and approve port terminal and vessel related invoices.
  • Produce the ACI and A6 to CBSA.
  • Issue and renew ECRC contracts and ensure contracts are valid for all vessels before arrival.
  • Provide MSC Planning centers by updated ST. Lawrence water levels.

Additional tasks may be added or removed based on departmental needs.


Qualifications :

  • Excellent command in spoken and written English with bilingualism (French and English) preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
  • Strong sense of initiative and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with Port operations is preferred.
  • High attention to details.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office applications knowledge of Power BI (asset).
  • Strong communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
