As a member of our team your responsibilities include:
Ensure compliance of safe work practices and health and safety legislations policies and procedures.
Coordinate onsite activities and monitor job progress; procure materials if required.
Ensure that buildings are erected to the customers satisfaction according to specifications and within the required timeframe as per CISC standard practice.
Perform qualitative and quantitative control on the job site.
Attend and participate in on and offsite meetings; including but not limited to health and safety meetings.
Set up and maintain construction site trailer and amenities.
Submit detail site daily report and set up punch list as per Canams standard requirements and procedures.
Update Trimble Connect installation progress and Smartsheet daily site progress.
Monitor schedules and update on a daily basis. Communicate with various stakeholders and the General Contractor.
Coordinate daily site pullplanning meetings with Canam subtrades and ensure that all health and safety policies procedures and regulations are being implemented to ensure job site safety.
Manage onsite recordkeeping including but not limited to daily site specific hazard assessments.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate will possess:
Construction trade Journeyman Certificate or Diploma.
Three (3) to five (5) years of construction site supervision experience.
Ability to read structural shop drawings layouts and erection drawings is a must.
Thorough understanding of industry practices processes standards etc. and their impact on project activities.
An autonomous resultsoriented aptitude with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge and understanding of construction schedules and Gantt charts.
Exceptional organizational and English communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficiency in computer system and software (Google Suite).
Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact diplomacy influence etc.).
Ability to apply innovative and effective supervision and management techniques to maximize subtrade performance.

Work environment:
Working safely is a condition of employment at Canam. The role involves a general office setting and constant exposure to computer display. Safety PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn while onsite (steeltoed safety boots safety glasses etc.). Daily interactions include engaging with construction site personnel managers and other team members.
