Job Description
The client is seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing programming testing and maintaining PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems used in industrial automation processes within the plastics industry. The PLC Programmer will collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure efficient and reliable operation of manufacturing systems.

Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic structured text or function block diagram
- Experience with PLC hardware and software platforms commonly used in the plastics industry (e.g. AllenBradley Siemens Schneider Electric)
- Strong understanding of industrial automation principles specific to plastics manufacturing processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams related to plastics production equipment
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment within the plastics industry is preferred
- Experience with Raspberry Pi for automation or control applications is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop PLC programs based on project requirements for plastics manufacturing processes
- Design and implement control systems for automated machinery within the plastics industry
- Configure and troubleshoot PLC hardware and software components specific to plastics production lines
- Conduct testing and debugging of PLC programs
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate PLC systems with other control systems
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams
- Document and maintain detailed records of PLC programs and modifications
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to PLC programming
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in PLC programming
- Strong background in automation within the plastics industry
- Proven experience in project management and selfdriven initiatives
- Familiarity with various protocols and programming languages (e.g. Python Modbus)
Education Requirements
- Associates degree in electrical engineering computer engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience)
