Platform Architect - Equity Only

StealthMode StartUp Client is seeking a Platform Architect (or Enterprise Architect) to design and oversee the endtoend architecture of a scalable secure and highperformance web and mobile platform. This role will focus on establishing a robust technical foundation aligning engineering efforts with strategic objectives and ensuring system reliability and future scalability.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system architecture design cloud infrastructure microservices and a deep understanding of emerging technologies to build a platform capable of serving millions of users globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and define the overall technical architecture for the platform ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.
• Establish and enforce best practices for platform architecture including frameworks design patterns and scalability strategies.
• Develop and own the technical roadmap aligning platform capabilities with longterm objectives.
• Lead architectural discussions design reviews and technical decisionmaking processes across teams.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams guiding them in the implementation of architectural decisions.
• Identify technology gaps and propose innovative solutions to address them.
• Ensure the platform architecture is capable of scaling horizontally and vertically to meet anticipated user growth.
• Design systems for high availability reliability and fault tolerance.
• Optimize system performance reduce latency and improve response times across services.
• Define and oversee the API architecture and integration strategy to ensure seamless communication between components and thirdparty services.
• Build robust data flow architectures to facilitate efficient data exchange between services.
• Design and implement security protocols to safeguard data user privacy and platform integrity.
• Ensure platform compliance with international regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
• Collaborate with Product Engineering Data Science and Compliance teams to translate business requirements into architectural blueprints.
• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on technical priorities.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies tools and frameworks to improve platform capabilities.
• Stay informed about emerging industry trends and integrate them into platform strategies where appropriate.
• Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation ensuring clarity for engineering teams.
• Define and enforce technical standards and governance processes across the engineering organization.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software architecture enterprise architecture or a related leadership role.
• Excellent command of the English Language in all forms.
• Previous startup experience would be an advantage.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS GCP Azure).
• Proficiency in designing scalable microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in languages such as Python Java Go or Node.js.
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.
• Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB).
• Knowledge of security protocols encryption standards and access control mechanisms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Docker Kubernetes and cloud deployment strategies.
• Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to create clear and comprehensive architectural documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for nontechnical stakeholders.
