Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing building and maintaining robust cloud security architectures ensuring security is a fundamental part of our clients cloud solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms security best practices and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Security Design and Architecture:
- Assist in the design and build of secure cloud solutions for our clients.
- Ensure security is integrated into the design and development of cloud architectures.
- Security Assessment and Best Practices:
- Review existing cloud security measures and processes providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Stay updated with leading industry practices and apply them to enhance security.
- Tooling and Automation:
- Develop and implement security tools automation scripts and operational processes for cloud environments.
- Administer and integrate cloud security tools like CSPM CWPP SSPM and CNAPP.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Map security controls to compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA) for cloud environments.
- Ensure adherence to security standards such as OWASP ISO 27001/2 and NIST frameworks.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Translate technical and compliance requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to engineers leaders and nontechnical stakeholders effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and their native security and identity management (IAM) capabilities.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Java.
- Expertise in InfrastructureasCode (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with cloud security tools such as SIEM SOAR IPS/IDS VM EDR CSPM CWPP and CNAPP.
- Knowledge of security industry standards and best practices (e.g. OWASP ISO 27001/2 NIST).
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g. CISSP CCSP CISM) or technical cloud certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Security Specialty Azure Security Engineer).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in developing and implementing automation and security capabilities on cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks for cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
