- Ensure the safety of all guest and patrons in the pool area.
- Observe while sitting standing and moving around swimming pool/hot tub area all guests and patrons using the facilities.
- Ensure the opening and closing procedures are completed accurately.
- Assist management with the daily operation of the Pool.
- Conduct safety trainings as needed to ensure compliance.

- Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal/external customers some of whom will require patience tact and diplomacy to defuse anger. Collect accurate information and solve management concerns.
- Ability to perform all skills necessary for Lifeguard/CPR certification including ability to swim.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
- Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
- Ability to maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance.

- Ability to read write speak and understand the English language in case of emergency situations and to read caution and/or safety notices.
- Ability to read write speak and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to provide clear direction/guidance. Ability to relate to all levels of management guests and employees in verbal/written form.
- Ability to grasp bend lift and/or carry a maximum of 25lbs or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 75 lbs. on an intermittent basis and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including: multiline telephone.
- Ability to stand move and work throughout area including walking up to 2 miles climbing stairs/stepladders and/or sit at designated station for duration of the shift.
- Ability to read write speak and understand the English language to understand verbal/written requests/inquiries from Spa & Pool Supervisor Spa & Pool Manager guests and coworkers.
Typical Working Condition:
Work is performed in an outdoor pool environment: contact with guests department heads staff and management; and ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level temperature illumination and air quality.
Experience Requirements
Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification. Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid certifications Shallow Water Lifeguard certification.
Education Requirements
Any combination of education training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
