Job Description
As an Associate Producer for TODAY with Jenna and Friends you will work directly with producers and senior producers to help pitch write and produce entertainment lifestyle and pop culture content for broadcast.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with full scope of production including research booking and preinterviewing
- Write and produce segments
- Gather visual elements prep graphics and assist with editing for segment production
- Coordinate with technical and operations staff and outside resources selected by producers
Qualifications :
- At least three years of editorial experience working in production at the network level preferably with morning television
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Must have strong social media knowledge
- Proficient in Outlook and iNews
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours under tight deadline pressure including breaking news; ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed
- Willing and able to work in New York NY
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Desired Characteristics:
- DV shooting experience
- Knowledge of nonlinear editing systems including Avid
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in pop culture
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to pitch original and creative ideas
- Strong journalistic writing and research skills as well as editorial judgment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
- Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
