Job Description

The Program Coordinator (PC) is the lead direct support professional for one residential group home program and will be responsible providing direct support handson instruction assistance and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health safety successful achievement of service objectives and personal goals.    

This is not a supervisory role.  The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment  
  • Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and selfcare.  
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including dressing bathing grooming toileting and eating.  
  • Prepare meals and snacks. May include grocery shopping.  
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.  
  • Assist with transportation needs.  
  • Implement positive behavior supports. 
  • Provide mobility and transfer assistance which may include using mechanical lift devices.  
  • Administrative duties such as assisting with schedules oneonone training of staff documentation and followup of individual and program related issues and ensuring compliance with policies and Oregon Administrative Rules. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications :

  • 1 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required. Prior experience in residential services preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old 
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Reliable transportation with ability to use personal vehicle on the job 
  • Have a passion to help others 
  • Peopleoriented and have a team approach 
  • Dependable adaptable flexible 
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions 
  • Must be able to provide references 
  • Able to attend two weeks of PAID inhouse orientation and training
