Job Description

Estimator Project Cost Estimating

Project and Program Delivery

KPMGs Project and Program Delivery team create project controls to analyse assess and manage risk in all major projects and across all phases of the project lifecycle from visioning to delivery.

We provide clients integrated project management project assurance project controls project risk project delivery planning and design and contract compliance advice using datadriven tools and methodologies and provide practical and reliable project support services.

Your Opportunity Estimator

Our Integrated Project Controls team are leaders in delivering estimation (from engineering into estimating) cost planning and project planning and scheduling as part of the Project and Program Delivery team for major projects across the energy water and transport (road and rail) sectors nationally.

This team provides a wide range of services and we are looking for Estimators to support delivering major infrastructure projects who can:

  • Develop assess and manage costs estimates on infrastructure projects.
  • Develop support and provide centralised cost estimating advice for client projects.
  • Work with clients solving problem and developing and supporting new proposals.
  • Use quantitative data to help clients make informed decisions on key risks and opportunities.
  • Perform project concurrence and peer review functions for large scale complex infrastructure projects.
  • Give project owners predicative realtime estimates that are market relevant and substantiated with historical and current market tender returns.
  • Work with a diverse background of professionals including engineers QSs planners schedulers architects and risk.

Our team is embedded within KPMGs Infrastructure Asset & Places group a national team of global infrastructure specialists. Our differentiator is our experience across all aspects of the infrastructure project life cycle and our close connection with KPMGs wider specialised services offering unique opportunities to work together on a broad range of clients and industries to further deepen and strengthen client relationships.

We also partner with industry professionals from our Deal Advisory group. These connections are a key and exciting component of the growth and learning opportunities within KPMG with the ability to derive global industry insights research and market data as well leveraging client relationships in different geographies.

Your Experience

At KPMG we believe diversity of thought background and experience strengthens relationships and delivers meaningful benefits to our people our clients and communities. To be considered for this opportunity your qualifications skills & experience could include:

  • Recent experience in providing cost estimating and/or quantity surveying services for infrastructure projects across Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) and/or Building/Property disciplines.
  • The ability to prepare comprehensive estimates and present and engage with clients at all levels.
  • Experience in managing a cost estimating database.
  • Experience using industry planning cost and project management software systems (such as CostX).
  • Experience with establishing project details such as the project baselines performance measurement baselines key milestones work breakdown structures and resource planning project specification and requirements.
  • Contract administration and commercial management on capital projects.
