IKEA Home Smart Digital is a part of Data & Technology which works with a smart system to enable a smarter life at home for people worldwide. To succeed we look for new ways of integrating technology and digital solutions into furniture and life at home. We explore opportunities throughout the home and work closely with other Business Areas to drive the transformation of the existing range and develop new smart products to attract new customers to IKEA. Were still at the beginningthere is lots more to come.
We are building the next generation of ecosystems with our mobile application cloud & backend services and embedded systems.
To be successful in this role we believe you have:
- A couple of years of React experience with a good understanding of modern componentbased web development state management (redux recoil jotai etc) and build tools (typescript npm yarn vite etc)
- Good fundamental understanding on basic html css and javascript
- Good knowledge of standard toolsets (VS Code GitHub Actions etc)
- Good understanding of the different state management tools used in React (context atomic or reducerbased approach)
- Good understanding of the developer testing infrastructure (Unit testing mock frameworks E2E testing etc)
- Some experience with AWS services (AWS Lambda AWS S3 AWS DynamoDb AWS API gateway) and an interest to learn
Qualifications :
A Typical day in your role:
- Development of new features and enhancements for our IKEA Home Smart store solution and app
- Crossteam collaboration between app cloud & backend and embedded systems
- Bringing in third party opensource tools as needed
- Contribute to setting up and tuning the organisation and ways of working.
- Prototyping new ideas both individually and across teams (we love prototyping!)
Additional Information :
This is a fulltime position located in Malm at IKEA of Sweden. IKEA of Sweden is responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world.
