We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced STP/WTP Operator interested in joining our team at sites based in WA. This role is local on a 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth
About the job
You will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operations as well as supporting the maintenance and operation of filtering and chemical treatment processes. You will be required to inspect service and repair components of the water treatment plant including water intakes pipes water storage vessels chemical treatment equipment controls circulation pumps boilers heat exchanges and valves. Ensure that servicing and major repairs are arranged in a timely manner. You will need to keep a daily log and prepare activities and reports to ensure records are well maintained and any other duties as requested
About you
You will be a trade qualified Plumber with a WA Plumbers Licence.
You will hold a Certificate III of Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator Program and a minimum of 2 years experience in operating a plant; experience in water sampling and testing techniques inspection procedures water and sanitation systems management.
You will need to hold an Open C class driving license (Manual) in addition to experience in a broad range of skills and general maintenance. Previous experience on working on remote sites Work Safely at Heights / Enter and Work in Confined Spaces would be advantageous for this role
