Job Description
Job Purpose
An Accountant is responsible for practicing their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional setting. Their duties include supporting accounting teams with various accounting projects and tasks as they gain more confidence within their desired industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor any discrepancies in payment monitor for charges made on credit cards and record any returns and as well as ALAAN Cards.
- Organize a financial filing system that is easily accessible.
- Prepare accounting reports to be presented to senior management.
- Track all payments made for tax preparation and follow up on returns.
- Speak to clients about payments refunds and statements too.
- Ensure that all clients receive their statements of accounts on time.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements making sure that the final figures on statements are correct.
- Assisting in reconciling intercompany balances.
- Assisting in bank reconciliation daily.
- Assisting on working in reconciling different ledger balances.
- Check all vendors requirements in NetSuite.
- Help in monthend closing.
- Help the internal audit department to function properly.
- Recording fines and fines recovery making customer agreement audits and reporting on a timely basis.
- Track record of Salik Transactions in all Rental fleets ensuring accuracy and recovery of Salik.
- Manage family accounts and report on a timely basis.
- Coordinate with other departments and collect financial data for recording and reporting.
Skills required:
- Must be a graduated ACCA or actively working towards a masters in accounting.
- Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Aptitude for accounting and proficiency with computers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of efficiency accuracy and responsibility.
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
Position Qualifications:
- MBA ACCA (Qualified) BSc Accounting & Finance or CA Inter
