Position: Polysomnographer

Job Description:
As a Polysomnographer you will be responsible for conducting and analyzing sleep studies to diagnose and treat sleep disorders. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely reports on patients sleep patterns and behaviors. Your role will involve setting up and monitoring equipment collecting data and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients throughout the study.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct sleep studies on patients including overnight studies daytime studies and multiple sleep latency tests
Set up and calibrate sleep monitoring equipment including EEG EOG EMG and other sensors
Monitor patients during sleep studies and make adjustments to equipment as needed
Collect and analyze data on patients sleep patterns behaviors and physiological responses
Prepare detailed reports for physicians and other healthcare professionals based on the results of sleep studies
Educate patients on sleep hygiene and provide recommendations for improving sleep quality
Maintain accurate and organized records of sleep studies and patient information
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and guidelines
Stay uptodate on advancements in sleep disorder treatments and technologies
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Polysomnography or a related field
Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Polysomnographer
Knowledge of sleep disorders diagnostic procedures and treatment options
Experience with sleep monitoring equipment and software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately analyze data
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed
