Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a passionate and strategic Senior Director - ESG Strategy to lead our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices. This role is critical in integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles throughout all operational and developmental activities within Qiddiya, ensuring that our investments not only drive economic growth but also create positive social and environmental impacts.
As the Senior Director - ESG Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive ESG strategies that align with Qiddiya's corporate objectives and vision. You will lead a cross-functional team in advancing Qiddiya's sustainability initiatives, establishing benchmarks, and enhancing our reputation as a leader in sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
A minimum of 15 years of experience in ESG, sustainability strategy, or related fields
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams and engage with senior leadership on ESG-related issues.
Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to develop and execute long-term ESG strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
Environmental and Social Expertise: In-depth knowledge of environmental sustainability, social issues, and governance practices.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ESG strategies, initiatives, and results to stakeholders at all levels.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of ESG-related regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, UN Sustainable Development Goals).
Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills with the ability to track, assess, and report on ESG performance metrics.
Project Management: Proficiency in managing complex projects, overseeing timelines, and ensuring that ESG goals are met.
Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including investors, regulators, employees, and external partners, to advance ESG objectives.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify ESG-related challenges and implement effective solutions that align with business goals.
Ethical Judgment: A strong commitment to ethical decision-making and transparency in all areas of corporate governance.
