DS Technologies Inc is looking for Senior Data Architect role for one of our premier clients.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect with expertise in Data Lake and Data Governance to join a leading semiconductor client. This role involves designing scalable data architectures managing large datasets and enforcing robust data governance policies. The position is hybrid with relocation options available.
Position: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement Data Lake architectures for performance scalability and security.
- Lead organizationwide data governance initiatives ensuring data quality integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver endtoend data solutions.
- Implement data governance policies including data classification lineage and access controls.
- Design data models to support analytics reporting and business intelligence.
- Align data architectures with business strategies especially in the semiconductor domain.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies tools and platforms.
- Mentor junior data architects and engineers with technical guidance.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience:
- 8 years in data architecture with 3 years focusing on Data Lake and Data Governance.
- Expertise in metadata management data lineage and governance frameworks.
- Proven experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and data engineering tools.
- Handson experience with Data Lakes (Hadoop Spark Delta Lake etc.) and big data technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT processes.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Data Warehousing tools (Snowflake Redshift BigQuery).
- Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics.
- Agile project management experience.

Industry Experience:
- Semiconductor or other highly technical sectors is a plus.

Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Information:
- This role emphasizes Data Lake architectures governance frameworks and cloud data platforms.
- Candidates with semiconductor industry experience or advanced analytics expertise will have an advantage.
Candidate Details:
- Minimum of 8 years in data architecture roles with a focus on governance and big data.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in cloud platforms and data compliance standards.
