Job Description

The Senior Architect will work with the Rhode Island Department of Housings inhouse architect to assist in assessing the shortterm capital needs of properties owned or leased by the Department as well as sites being considered for emergency shelter or residential use. This assessment will include recommendations as to whether a professional capital needs assessment is required to develop long term capital improvement plans for a property including projected operating expenses for potential energy conservation measures.

Candidates shall be registered architects with at least 20 years of experience in the rehabilitation of residential buildings and adaptive reuse of buildings for residential use. Experience shall include work with multiple building typologies including smallscale multifamily and highrise buildings. Candidates experience must increase the Departments capacity to efficiently make responsible executive decisions regarding design and construction matters.

Client Name: RI Executive Office of Commerce

Position: Remote (100%)

RTR: Attached

Hours/Week: 20 Hours (Mon Fri during business hours)

Comments: Please source the candidate near to the RI location if the client may call for a one time visit. This is 100% remote but sometimes they needed to have an onsite visit.
